Chinese smartphone giant, ZTE launched it’s mid-range smartphone “Blade Max 3″ in the US markets today.
The 6” phablet boasts 1080p Full HD (FHD) IPS display with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. On the battery front, the phone packs a sweet 4000mAh battery which is enough to provide 40 hours talk-time or 31 days standby time as per company’s claims.
Blade Max 3 has a 2.0GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 2GB of RAM to power the device. Surprising for a mid-range phone, the device flaunts a dual rear camera with both cameras having 13 Megapixel density along with PDAF and full HD video recording support. It has a 5MP front camera for selfies.
The phone has an inbuilt storage capacity of 16GB which is upgradable upto 128 GB using a microSD card. As is customary nowadays, Blade Max 3 also packs a fingerprint scanner located below the rear camera. It comes with USB Type-C port instead of the microUSB port. The other notable hardware feature is the Hi-Fi Audio chip or DAC (Digital-to-Analog Convertor) chip which must provide a high quality audio experience.
The phone supports 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and comes boxed with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Though the company must provide updates for the latest Android 7.0 Nougat but the same has not been announced as of now.
ZTE Blade MAX 3 is priced at $199.99(~Rs 12,850) or $12.5 per month for 24 months after an online discount of $100. The phone can be bought via US Cellular. There is no news of the phone’s launch in other major international markets.
