It’s almost the end of 2016. With less than 5 days left, it’s time to prepare for the New Year celebrations. To begin with we have launched the Appy New Year Series where we disclose the best apps of 2016 everyday. But wouldn’t it be great if you could start your year with a brand new best in class device in your hand.
So today we present to you the list of best budget smartphones of 2016 to give that happy start to 2017 for you.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3
Price – Rs. 9,999
Undoubtedly, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 backs the first position. The most-selling smartphone online of the year is definitely the one, to bring that smile on your face whenever you see it. It packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 Hexa-core processor with Adreno 510 GPU and comes with a all metal body design. The device sports 5.5-inch 1080P screen with sunlight display, reading mode, night display, and color temperature adjustment. It has reliable battery life (4050 mAh) along with a fingerprint sensor at the back. It loads a 2 GB of RAM with 16 GB of on-board storage and has 32 GB expandable storage. The smartphone shoots a 16-megapixel primary camera with dual LED flash, and 1080P video recording. On the front, it has 5-megapixel selfie camera capturing great selfies.
Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime
Price – Rs. 8,999
This year has been great for Xiaomi, not because it sold so many phones and made a lot of money but because it’s the second device of the same company that made it to our top mobiles list :P. Launched in mid-august, this device was sold out within minutes whenever it went on sale. It consists of a 5.0-inch IPS LCD display with 294 pixel density, Snapdragon 430 Octa-core with nothing less than 3 GB of RAM. It’s a dual sim device with a hybrid slot for sim 2 same as Redmi Note 3. It comes with 32 GB internal storage, expandable upto 256 GB with an SD card. Camera resolution is a bit low – 13 MP primary and 5 MP secondary but with a 4100 mAh battery which can last a day and half easily.
LeEco Le 1s Eco
Price – Rs. 9,999
With a great appealing design and best in class performance, Le 1s Eco is one of the most anticipated device of 2016. I has a 5.5-inch display, 403 ppi with a resolution of 108o x 1920 pixels. It runs on a 1.85 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor and comes with 3GB of RAM. The phone packs 32GB of internal storage which cannot be expanded. For the cameras, the LeEco Le 1s Eco packs a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies. It lacks on the battery life, 3,000 mAh non-removable battery which could be the reason for a place below Redmi Note 3.
Lenovo Vibe K5
Price – Rs. 6,999
This is completely unexpected. This device sports a 5.0-inch IPS LCD display with 13 MP front camera and 5 MP rear camera. It packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 Octa-core, 2GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage. It supports a memory card, expandable upto 32 GB. Despite lacking in performance, it’s a great value for money device.
That’s it. Just four devices in our list. There were many good phones launched this year, but these are the great ones. We all know very well, so many options create so much chaos. So with this, we wish you a Happy New Year in advance and stay tuned for more.
